According to a recent article on ‘The National UAE’ web site, health inspectors are checking on more than 300 schools to ensure kitchens serving food to pupils meet required safety standards.
Checks have already been carried out at 315 education institutions with numerous irregularities being discover in technical conditions and practices. Corrective actions have been taken.
The campaign will continue at the beginning of the second term in January and during the third term in the month of April. It involves food and health inspectors working under the supervision of the school inspection officers’ group in the municipality.
